Equipment and comments:

1. Sigma dp0 (Japan) digital electronics, analogue wide angle optics
2. Sigma uv ultraviolet filter 58 mm (Japan)
3. Sigma acromatic macro lens AML 58 mm (Japan)
4. Heliopan blue 6, green 13, yellow 8, orange 22, red 25 color filter 58 mm (Germany)
5. Leica viewfinder 12013 for 21 mm / 24 mm / 28 mm (Germany)
6. Monopod or tripod heads (rotational and / or ball head) with Arca Swiss compatibility (PRC)
7. Heliopan 715 nm, 780 nm830 nm ir low pass filter ES 58 mm (Germany)
8. Postprocessing

1. Personal setup: Aperture priority with manual aperture preset; manual ISO select; single-point light measurement; manual exposure time compensation; autofocusing & manual focusing; b/w mode; jpg format; 21:9 or 2.35:1 crop; verdict: special

2. Permanent use: To protect front lens against anything unwanted (uv ultraviolet radiation / energy and matter from fumbling fingers and dust); verdict: must

3. Rare use: Not explicitly recommended by manufacturer. No big effect on wide angle as well as on magnification; anyway still pretty sharp in the center with some vignetting towards the edges; verdict: extremely special

4. Infrequent use: In some outdoor daylight situations; to modify the energy transfer function (by analogue means); verdict: interesting

5. Infrequent use: Camera display in common daylight outdoor brightness situation badly readable; viewfinder required to roughly see the image area; to see full image area, off-center viewing to the left and right is required, which is quite a poor performance of the viewer; however, a 21 mm setting gives a approx. 18 mm or an approx. 24 mm view depending on center / off-center viewing; not a precision instrument; therefore no accurate at all; significant barrel distortion; no indication of different aspect ratios, such as 21:9 or 3:2; viewfinder is not in-line with the optical axis of the camera lens, which is not a problem for long-distance / infinity-distance objects; viewfinder is a passive optical device just following plain geometrical optics without additional functions and without displaying functions of the camera; parallax is not a problem for infinite distance objects; main function: saving electrical energy! other function: less precision, more prestige; verdict: too expensive, very nice but not really useful / helpful

6. Infrequent use: With aperture 4.0 and low ISO sensitivity 100 the mechanical wobble, twist & shake, rattle & roll limit is reached pretty often even in common daylight situations; verdict: must

7. Rare use: Smooth wavelength cut-off / low pass at 715 nm / 780 nm / 830 mm wavelength. Manual focussing is required. Exposure times easily 100x larger than no-filter times. Not yet tested. To be applied to technical photography. Interesting.

8. No external postprocessing of data.
